Behold the real contenders!
Just when I thought we have seen it all with the ‘Sexiest woman in Nollywood’, things are beginning to happen with the ‘Sexiest man’.

eMEKA iKEMThe way the storm is gathering for the quest for Nollywood’s sexiest man, we may soon have a tsunami on our hands. After the nominations have run for 3 weeks, last week, we had a list of 18 men ready to battle for Nollywood’s Sexiest Actor 2008.
Last week, Jim Iyke led the lot with 472 votes, closely followed by Emeka Ike with 451 votes and then Desmond Elliot claimed the 3rd slot with 420 votes.
The ranking continued with with Ramsey Noah at 4th with 416 votes, Nonso Diobi at 5th with 353 votes, Pat Attah at 6th with 331 votes, Chidi Mokeme at 7th with 321 votes, Tuvi James at 8th with 125 votes, Mcmorris Ndubueze at 9th with 114 votes and Richard Mofe-Damijo at 10th with 109 votes.
The others are: Yemi Blaq at 11th with 96 votes, Kalu Ikeagwu also at 11th at 96 votes, Mike Ezuruonye at 13th with 85 votes, Muna Obiekwe at 14th with 61 votes, Yul Edochie at 15th with 57 votes, Bob Manuel at 16th with 18 votes, Hanks Anuku at 17th with 17 votes and Link Edochie at 18th with 16 votes.
This week, the real contenders are beginning to emerge from the real pretenders. Desmond Elliot ruled this week with 328 votes but his weak last week performance could not see him to the top of the race as he remains at the 3rd position with a total votes of 748 votes.
Though, Jim Iyke lost the week’s race to both Desmond Elliot and Emeka Ike, his last week excellent run keeps him at the 1st position with a total of 764 votes after polling a week votes of 292 votes. Emeka Ike came 2nd this week and remains 2nd in the race with a total of 759 votes and the week’s votes of 308.
The 4th position goes to Ramsey Noah with a total of 642 votes and the week’s 126 votes. Nonso came in 5th with a total of 462 votes and the week’s 109 votes. Pat Attah and Chidi Mokeme are still cooling off at 6th and 7th positions with a total of 429 and 414 votes respectively. Richard Mofe-Damijo has moved up from his 10th position last week to 8th position this week with a total of 197 votes.
The 9th slot is the most interesting of all! The trio of Kalu Ikeagwu, Tuvi James and Mcmorris Ndubueze are nose to nose, waist to waist, sharing the slot with a total vote of 177 votes apiece. The 10th position is no less interesting as Yemi Blaq and Mike Ezuruonye are tied with 148 votes apiece as well.
For Muna Obiekwe, Yul Edochie, Link Edochie, Bob Manuel and Hanks Anuku, it has to be the end of the road. Their performances this week was so low, some of them did not even get voted once.
